Dragons Den Product Design and Pitch

The Dragons Den Product Design and Pitch workshop is a great way to get young people to think entrepreneurial and try their hand at pitching to some real life dragons (well a panel of teachers and even the head of the school)  Its also a super introduction to recycling as all the items designed will be made from waste products.

This workshop promotes teamwork and peer to peer learning as the young people need to work closely with their team members to first devise a team name then to come up with a design for a product out of a vast array of items which have been collected and donated from various sources. They will then set about making the product and preparing a pitch. (this can all be filmed for them to review later)

This workshop start off with a introductory talk from a real life entrepreneur Sissy Rooney who will be running this workshop

A short presentation on why we should recycle and reuse can be shown which also displays some cool ways that people all over the world are reusing rubbish to make a profit

The whole workshop will culminate in to a pitch about their designed product, where their idea came from and why, price points and profit margins, etc The panel of dragons will then be able to ask questions and delve deeper in to the young people's thinking.
