Mahdlo Youth Zone
We were very pleased with the workshops and the facilitator. She was very good at engaging the young people and communicating clearly and we would be happy to work with her again in the future. The young people were so engaged they remained for the entire two hours, which is a real achievement within our Juniors.

Graffiti, Rap and Beatboxing Workshops
Both workshops were exceptional ! This company is fantastic and really suits our children so well. It is modern and contemporary and well worth every penny.
The graffiti artist was so talented and worked so well with the children. Our children felt completely part of the design process and had complete owner ship in the finished product. The artist worked so hard and we cant thank him enough for what he has done.
The poetry day was something our kids will always remember . Again, modern and so engaging you wouldn't believe! He had a fantastic way with all children and is a very inspiring man! He taught the children about racism, poetry and beat boxing in one session! Wow!! Will def be booking him again!!!!
Massive thank you for both these guys! Your company is one I would highly recommend and use in the future.
Thank you

After Adoption - Stop Motion Animation Workshop
The workshop went really well, Ginny was lovely she was very calm and patient with the young people which is exactly what we need in a facilitator!
The young people all seemed to really enjoy it, and the activity itself meant that the young people had to work in groups, this is a challenge for some of our young people however they were well supported and they all managed to work well together, which has meant that they have started to further develop friendships.
I would definitely recommend this workshop and Ginny!

Manchester United Football Club Foundation - Skateboarding and Circus Skills Event
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for supporting our Street Soccer event on Friday 2nd August at Old Trafford.
feedback from our participants and staff has been so positive so far about the Skateboarding and Circus skills workshops that your practitioners led and I can't praise them highly enough for their great interaction and positivity at the event.
The workshops brought a great extra dimension to the event and were delivered with great enthusiasm and to a fantastic standard.
Thanks so much again, Dawn Bracegirdle - Community Cohesion Coordinator - Manchester United Foundation - MUFC
The Barlow RC High School – Right track workshop - Inspirational & motivation workshop, targeted at boys and girls separately
The students thoroughly enjoyed both the workshops and have expressed a desire to have more. The boys were completely engrossed in the first half of the workshop and were very complimentary of the style in which it was delivered in. The girls warmed to Sissy instantly and really enjoyed the fact that they were made to feel valued. One of the students told me that it was really helpful to speak to someone who gets where they are at now and can show them that there is a way forward. The feedback sheet gives further evidence of the positive impact the sessions had on the students.
As a school we would certainly look toward working with the company in the future.
Thank you for a very positive and professional experience. ‘Mrs L Hanson - Deputy Head
Waterside Adventure Center - Gaffiti workshop
“Hi Sissy, the project went fantastically (not sure if that's a word) All the young people really got involved and the artist was great” Julie Heathcote - Youth project co-ordinator
Shaftesbury High School - stop motion animation
Andre and Ludo had a calm and relaxed approach to the workshop. I liked how they allowed the students to warm up to the activities in their own time. Very quickly, the students responded and felt comfortable enough to fully experience every aspect of the process of animation. I especially liked how Ludo and Andre encouraged teamwork among the students, as well as getting the students up and moving. I also liked how they allowed the students to develop pieces of work organically. This helped the students to feel like they were directors and in control of what they were doing. Our students really enjoyed the workshop, as they do not have time to do such things in single art lessons. We are all looking forward to seeing the end product. Thank you.
Salix Homes – Community fun day
The workshops were very engaging. One of the participants said it was the best event ever. Some of the parents want an extended programme for the summer holidays as they felt it went so well. The benefits of the workshop were that local children were shown how to plant and to recycle materials so that they have a more positive impact on the immediate environment. The workshops brought different ages together and there was a definite community spirit on the day.

Our Ladys R.C. High School – Fashion Illustration workshop
The workshop far exceeded my expectations; the content was targeted at just the right level for my year 10 Textiles GCSE students. The students really enjoyed the session and got a lot of new ideas about Mood Boards and how to give them more impact. The fashion illustrations the students produced on the day were extremely impressive. The workshop not only equipped the students with valuable skills but also the confidence they lacked for when they need to illustrate their design ideas.
Thank you very much for the workshop and for your fresh approach to learning!

Brinnington Youth Centre – Graffiti T-shirt workshop
The workshop with Sissy was fantastic; all of the young people participated fully in the session and were really proud of the t-shirts they produced. This experience helped young people realise that there are many different types of careers available to them, and most importantly that they can also become fashion designers in the future.
The workshop enabled young people to explore different types of design, play around with colour and most importantly helped them to express their individuality.
I would be more than happy to work with Street Style Surgery in the future, the workshop was fun, educational and engaging! (My only regret is that I didn't get to make a t-shirt!)

“Young people gained new skills through trying new activities. The facilitators were brilliant, really switched on and friendly! We are definitely using Street style surgery again; they are value for money and right on the pulse of Young People's needs” Thank you Street Style Surgery!

Westleigh High School (wigan) – fashion & Enterprise day
We arranged for Street Style Surgery to come to school and help support our “Music Fashion” Enterprise Day. They delivered an excellent presentation at the start of the day to introduce the subject. The presentation was very informative and well paced so all students could understand what was being asked of them .
Throughout the day Streetstyle Surgery were on hand to support students in the task of designing and making items of clothing. The students reacted well to the support and found it very beneficial. They also gave the students the opportunity to spray paint t shirts.
Thank you for your help and support on the day!

Manchester Communication Academy - fashion and design workshop
“The workshop completely met the requirements we needed for our students. The students were engaged, learnt new skills, had ownership over the work, and really enjoyed it. We would definitely like to work with Street Style Surgery again” Daniel Maddison, Art Teacher
Ravensbury primary school - Trash to Treasure Workshop
The workshops went really well. It really enthused the children to think about other materials they could recycle and what they could make. A child even made a mini juice carton wallet independently at home. The benefits of the workshop were that the children could see lots of examples of reusing materials. It was a great start to our topic.
We will definitely keep Street Style Surgeries in mind for future topics and there is a buzz throughout key stages in the range of things available.
The practitioners were brilliant, enthusiastic, knowledgable and great with the children. Miss Lord
Feedback from young person after a fashion workshop
I can honestly say I have never done anything like this before and I will never forget this unique experience. Sissy is an amazing artist and a very interesting person, she is definitely one of the most creative people I've met. Anyone who is taught by her is extremely lucky and should enjoy this unique experience Joe Brennan Age 16
Feedback from workshop with a PRU
The event was brilliant – the youngsters seemed very disinterested when they arrived but Sissy was fantastic with them. She spoke to them on their level and told them how she had been excluded from school when she was a teenager (all the youngsters had been excluded at least once). She worked with them to build up their confidence and self-esteem so everyone completed a t shirt spray painted to their own design. At the end, it was difficult to get them to pack up and get ready to go. They all changed into their newly-decorated t-shirts and wore them proudly for some photos before going back to school. A really exciting and engaging workshop. Children thoroughly enjoyed the whole process with some exciting outcomes. Workshop linked well with the school theme and children thought about “our world” through art. Hands on activities and well organised and resourced. I would be happy to recommend street style surgery and work with them again. Usman Baig-Ali - Future Technologies Leader - Manley Park
Clayton le Moors Youth Club - Enterprise fashion workshops
The workshop you delivered was done in a very professional and informal manner and yet it was structured just right to engage the group. The young people found it easy to relate to you and work with you, this was accomplished by your introduction to who you were and what it was possible to achieve if you has a belief in your ability. The structure of the workshop was just right and had a lot of choice and skills to create a t-shirt which showed every group member their own personal skill and ability to create an unique t-shirt. The Street Style Surgery offers a very no threatening method of working which young people will buy into. I would like to say a big thank you to Sissy for the fantastic workshop the group enjoyed it very much and got a lot from it and I am sure we will work together with Sissy in the coming months. Parvinder Sohal
St Marys primary School - Graffiti T-shirt Workshop
This is our 4th workshop with Sissy and yet again it was fabulous. The children were fully engaged and really felt they were doing something special and cool. We have used Sissy with all age groups and she has made this work brilliantly from the youngest to the oldest children in school. The resources are fantastic and the children love the results. The children modelled their shirts and felt really proud of themselves. We would love to work with Street Style again. Mrs McGarry -
Heald Place Primary School - Graffiti T-shirt Workshop
Thanks for a really inspiring workshop. The children were highly motivated and really enjoyed all aspects of the workshop. All children joined in and it had a positive effect on one child in particular who sometimes struggles with behaviour. The workshop was well organised and the children were given clear instructions which enabled them to produce a well designed t-shirt. The children are extremely proud of their t-shirts. We look forward to working with the Street Style Surgery again. thanks again Tracy and Katie -
