Create, Cook and Consume
What Happens in this Create, Cook and Consume workshop?
The core workshop offering covers a number of food themes such as one-pot dishes, take-away favourites, food for mood and concentration, cooking on a budget, health eating etc. Even different food cultures can be covered.
All cooking workshops will be interactive, practical and will set out to achieve defined aims and themes and build on participants' awareness of food, flavours and kitchen skills. Young people will leave the workshop having created their own dish from start to finish, and can take their food home, or share with the group.
If the workshops are to be part of a broader programme e.g. as part of creating a food product for sale, Amy can introduce an enterprise element to the workshops, covering sales and customer service skills, budgeting of food and confidence building through mentoring. Amy is also a market stall holder and sells street food to the public, and is a young entrepreneur herself.
