Streetdance and Breakdance workshop
This high octane workshop introduces young people to the foundations of breakdance & streetdance. It is led by a highly experienced breakdancing champion who will have the group popping and locking like a professional.
An opportunity for young people to learn about the foundations of Streetdance and Breakdance and to learn some cool moves and a routine as well as take part in a jamming dance-off session at the end.
The session will start with some dance related games and introductions, followed by a warm-up, then on to the Breakdance moves, including a breakdown of the 4 key elements in breakdancing, Toprocks – Footwork – Power – Freezes.
Once these have been mastered the students will show off their new found dance moves in choreographed street style routine.
The session will finish off with a Breakdance/Streetdance circle, giving everyone the opportunity to show off their cool new moves.
This workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities.

How many people can attend this Streetdance & Breakdance workshop for schools, and when?
A maximum of 25-30 per session, if younger than 8 years olds then assistance is preferred.
A workshop for younger attendees is generally 1-2 hours, although if we work toward a final performance piece it can take from half a day up to a full day.
We can also run 1-2 hour sessions per class, finishing in a mass choreographed performance at the end of the day.
